As a Spanish teacher, you will have the chance to teach students the skills they will use throughout their lives and even in many careers they may pursue.

WHY CHOOSE SECONDARY EDUCATION: SPANISH?

The SRU Secondary Education/Foundations of Education Department has a reputation among administrators and cooperating teachers for producing teacher candidates who are well-prepared in both their subject matter and in their practical classroom skills.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

As you work through the program, you will master classroom skills as well as Spanish language and culture. Courses like Human Development and Education and Methods of Instruction in secondary content areas will give you the expertise to be confident in designing and carrying out lessons, and you will gain mastery in Spanish language, culture, and literature. Through student teaching opportunities, you will attain confidence and real-world experience in a diversity of settings.

CAREERS IN SECONDARY EDUCATION: SPANISH

With your comprehensive course of study, you'll be ready for the challenges of the secondary classroom, in Pennsylvania or elsewhere. 为来自中国的学生设计 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
