Ideal for working teachers and specialists, the Master of Education in Special Education: Supervision is an exclusively online degree program for busy professionals. This program provides educators the opportunity to earn a Special Education Supervision M.Ed. in one calendar year.

DESCRIPTION:

Our nation needs action-oriented, open-minded educators who can transform the schools we have today into the schools we need for tomorrow. The graduate program in Special Education: Supervision provides teachers with the learning and leadership skills needed to educate the next generation of children. This program can help educators build a path to a future career in school administration. Students will learn about major contemporary theories and practices of leadership required for organizing educational communities, designing management processes and procedures, and forming collaborative relationships within the community.

In order to be eligible for Pennsylvania certification in School Supervision, candidates must complete an approved program and have at least five years of teaching experience in special education. Students who have less than five years teaching experience may choose to enroll in the program but must wait to apply to the state for certification until this requirement is met.

English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 79 on the internet based test (IBT); Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score of a 6.5 or higher. ELS Schools official score report with a 112 result or higher.
