Overview

As a student in the Architectural Engineering B.S. program at the University of Cincinnati, you’ll have the unique opportunity to split your curriculum between the engineering and architecture programs in two different colleges, applying engineering principles to the design, planning, and building of modern and sustainable societies.

Architectural engineers pay close attention to the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and renovation of buildings, impact on the surrounding environment, and ensure that systems fit into its overall architectural design

Take courses that cover the theory, design, and technical aspects of critical busing designs, such as structural system, the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, as well as electrical, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems through studio and lab experiences

Customize your experience with more than 600 organizations, including Architectural Engineering Institute, the American Institute of Architects, American Concrete Institute and the Construction Competition Club

Build an impressive resume and professional network through our nationally-recognized co-op program at companies such as GBBN Architects, BHDP Architecture, Al Neyer Inc., Messer Construction, Helix Electric, and DWG, Inc. Consulting Engineers

Career

Architectural Engineers work in fast-growing fields having to do with construction, design and planning. Possible career paths include: Technical architect; HVAC systems specialist; Plant or facilities engineer; Electrical systems engineer; Construction estimator; Construction project manager; Fire protection engineer; Building inspector.

为来自中国的学生设计 Student need to have: Graduation from an accredited high school of preparatory school; Successful completion of 16 units of college-preparatory subjects: English (4 units); biology and chemistry (2 units); college-prep mathematics (3 units); social sciences (2 units) fine arts (1 unit); additional college preparatory subjects (4 units). Recommended: foreign language, anatomy and physiology or a third unit in social science with a grade of C or better in all required courses; Recommended minimum high school GPA of 3.0; Completed application and official high school or preparatory school transcripts.
