Embracing viewpoints from across the curriculum, the WGSS major brings together scholarship from the humanities, the natural sciences and the social sciences. With a focus on diverse perspectives, students learn to think and write critically about issues relating to gender, race, age, culture, sexuality and ethnicity.

In addition to the general requirements stated under university regulations, students seeking to graduate with special honors must attain a minimum grade point average of 3.7 in courses that count toward the WGSS major, and 3.3 overall. In addition, students must receive a grade of A in WGSS 4199 and submit an honors paper to the program.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students should apply to the George Washington University (GW) as a first-year applicant if you are currently in your senior year of high school, have earned a GED or completed high school. To meet the English Language Proficiency requirements for admission, GW applicants should earn: A minimum score of 90 on the TOEFL; or A minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS; or A minimum score of 61 on the PTE Academic, A minimum score of 115 on the Duolingo English Test.
