The graduate programs in Sustainable Urban Planning will give you the necessary skills and education to help you lead communities towards healthier and sustainable futures.

Designed to develop career urban planners skilled in sustainable urban planning and policy and knowledgeable about green technologies, these unique programs integrate sustainable thinking and insights into every aspect of your planning education. It is designed for professionals in:

urban planning and policy at the city, county, and state levels environmental policy and advocacy parks and planning land use and public/private partnerships commercial development and contracting "green" industries.

The MPS in Sustainable Urban Planning also offers young professionals from other industries a unique opportunity to gain the technical grounding necessary to jump-start careers in urban planning and the fledgling sustainability arena.

The 48-credit MPS in Sustainable Urban Planning degree program is constructed as a series of stackable certificates along with 12 credits of Core Planning Coursework taken in the following sequence:

1. Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Urban Planning - (18 credits) 2. Four-course, Core Planning Sequence - (12-credits) 3. Graduate Certificate in Climate Change Management and Policy - (18 credits)

为来自中国的学生设计 To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants who have earned their degrees outside of the US must hold degrees from institutions in compliance with their national standards. Academic IELTS: an overall band score of 6.0 with no individual score below 5.0; or TOEFL: 550 on paper-based or 80 on Internet-based test; or PTE Academic: 53.
