专业概况

The Biomedical Informatics program prepares professionals for a rewarding career in health care leadership and research. Graduates will be skilled in the integration of programming, data analysis and data manipulation skills to solve biomedical problems. Students learn how to apply data analytics to improve the quality of healthcare and patient outcomes. This interdisciplinary education includes components of clinical healthcare, computer science, data analytics, ethics and translational medicine. Our innovative curriculum include courses in statistics, leadership, computer programing, and clinical care and the healthcare system. Students develop informatics analytics and tools in support of clinical decision-making, clinical research, and patient engagement. Graduates are well-prepared for informatics careers working at hospitals and medical centers, pharmaceutical companies, global health care organizations, consulting groups, and in government agencies.

为来自中国的学生设计 To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants who have earned their degrees outside of the US must hold degrees from institutions in compliance with their national standards. Academic IELTS: an overall band score of 6.0 with no individual score below 5.0; or TOEFL: 550 on paper-based or 80 on Internet-based test; or PTE Academic: 53.
