Our BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science course is accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) under the Undergraduate Endorsement Scheme (BUES), a recognised award for UK courses providing a high standard of education.With well-equipped specialist teaching labs, sporting facilities and practical classes based on our Stag Hill campus and at Surrey Sports Park, this course will prepare you for a rewarding career in professional sport, health promotion, teaching or research and will provide you with opportunities to gain additional qualifications.**What you will study**Sport and exercise sciences consider the theoretical knowledge and practical application of scientific principles relating to physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, biomechanics and psychology, to maximise sports performance and improve general health and wellbeing through exercise. Our BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science course builds on our multidisciplinary strengths in these areas.You’ll benefit from the exceptional facilities based at our £36 million Surrey Sports Park and extracurricular opportunities to assist with athlete support, patient exercise referral, research project development and delivery, educational workshops and outreach projects.**Foundation year**The Sport and Exercise Science BSc with foundation has an additional year of study designed to support your transition on to latter years of the course. You will study full-time for one year at foundation level, and after successfully completing it you will be ready to move on to the next three years of the course.
