Why study Chemistry at Augustana?

The Chemistry program at Augustana allows you to learn chemistry in a collaborative setting that emphasizes interaction between professors and fellow students in both the classroom and the lab.

Our laboratory facilities are spacious, newly renovated, and well-equipped, granting senior students direct access to all departmental instrumentation. Senior students also have the opportunity to apply to work as teaching assistants in first-year labs and to participate in fiery and colorful demonstrations.

This major is taken as part of a Bachelor of Science degree. At Augustana, you can also take a Chemistry major as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Why Augustana?

Augustana Campus, located in Camrose, Alberta, one hour southeast of Edmonton, is home to just over 1,000 students from across Canada and around the world. Augustana offers liberal arts and science degree programs in an intimate and personalized setting, with smaller class sizes and a more flexible academic schedule.

Augustana also offers a modified semester system called The Augustana Calendar. Each semester is comprised of a three-week session studying a single course, followed by a more traditional 11-week session studying up to four courses. This gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into research, travel, and other experiential learning endeavors, while at the same time reducing stress and workload.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students applying directly from high school. English Language Requirements: A score of at least 90 on the TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language - Internet-based) with no less than 21 on each band, A score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with no band less than 6.0 (see Note 4); A score of at least 61 on the PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) with no less than 60 in each communicative skill.
