Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

Demonstrate statistical computing skills for use in quantitative and data-based problem solving.

Understand and be able to apply the processes and applications of: multiple linear regression, survey design; mathematical statistics, stochastic modeling, generalized linear modeling techniques; the principles of data representation, summarization and presentation; multivariate statistical techniques; and, the role and notion of both parametric and non-parametric statistics.

Analyze complex problems by running and interpreting time series models involving dynamic volatility and/or trends.

Analyze and interpret data in various contexts using appropriate methodology.

Work independently and collaboratively to collect, process, interpret and communicate the outcomes of fundamental research questions in applied statistics.

Academic IELTS overall score of 6.5 with at least 6 in each component of the test; TOEFL internet based test overall score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening; TOEFL paper based test score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5; Cambridge CAE Advanced score of 176 overall with at least 169 in all sub skills; PTE Academic -an overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 55 in each of the communicative skills.
