专业概况

在这里学什么？

Osteopathic medicine combines the benefits of modern medicine with hands-on diagnosis through a system of therapy called osteopathic manipulative medicine. Osteopathic medicine focuses on helping people achieve wellness through disease prevention and health promotion.

WHY CHOOSE BIOLOGY: PRE OSTEOPATH?

In order provide you with the highest level of osteopathic training possible, SRU has partnered with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM.) Through this partnership, once you have successfully completed specific course work at SRU, you may continue your education in Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

In addition to SRU's comprehensive, broad-based foundation in biology, which includes microbiology, vertebrate anatomy, and organic chemistry, you will continue to LECOM where you will learn the holistic, hands-on specialty of osteopathic medicine and have the opportunity to gain practical experience.

CAREERS IN BIOLOGY

As a doctor of osteopathy, you may have a private practice, or you may find yourself in a team of health care providers or participating in clinical research.

中国学生入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
