在这里学什么?Modern neuroscience has emerged as an important field because it provides us with so many insights about what we do, think, and feel. The brain is constantly changing as it adapts to our experiences and environments. Neuroscience contributes to our understanding and treating neurological and psychological disorders as well as brain injuries. The benefits of neuroscience research and practice have had a major impact on health, education, and public policy.
SRU has the right combination of opportunities and experiences for students who focus their psychology studies on Neuroscience, including the ability to work closely with faculty and expert training in research methods and techniques in well-equipped laboratories.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Students in the Psychology track in Neuroscience will take a broad and challenging set of courses in psychology, biology, chemistry, physics and math - as well as upper level courses in neuroscience. Electives are tailored to each student's interests and career goals. With a foundation in the sciences, majors will apply their knowledge by completing an independent research study in collaboration with a faculty mentor. You will learn both content and applied skills such as:
How to approach research questions by considering multiple scientific perspectives.
How to integrate knowledge from different disciplines and levels of organization from behavior to molecules.
Laboratory methods and techniques
Research methods including planning experiments, developing hypotheses, and the use of statistics.
Data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Effective communication of scientific ideas including writing and presentations.
Scientific leadership

为来自中国的学生设计 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.课程信息
