专业概况

Medical Informatics at NJIT is an interdisciplinary program that combines courses from information systems, biology and management. You also will gain a background in mathematics and science that meets requirement for graduate study.

Program Objectives: Enable students to develop basic computer programming, database and security fundamentals that can be applied to the medical domain; Enable students to develop expertise in Medical Software, Electronic Health Records, Wireless Medical Devices, Medical Web/App Design, Big Data, Intelligent Systems applied to diagnosis and Intelligent Home Design to support independent living as people age.

Learning Outcomes: Basic computer programming, database and security fundaments that can be applied to any domain; Choice of concentration to master a field of interest: Electronic Health Records, Medical Web/App Design, Medical Software, Big Data, Intelligent Systems/Homes (cloud-based data analytics using systems such as Hadoop).
