Overview

The Master of Science in Nursing in Family Nurse Practitioner program prepares students to diagnose and manage common and complex medical conditions in patients of all ages, including infants, adolescents, adults and seniors. Our program offers the option to take up to **** of course work online and flexible scheduling.

Career

Graduates of this specialty meet educational requirements to take exams for national certification. Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) provide a wide range of primary care services across the lifespan, from performing physical exams and educating patients on disease prevention to ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, prescribing medications and treating acute and chronic illnesses, conditions and injuries.

FNPs work in a variety of health care settings, including community health centers, private practices, schools and health care facilities.
