专业概况

在这里学什么？

The mission of the master’s program in elementary education is to prepare teachers who are knowledgeable in the research and scholarship of curriculum and methods of instruction; who are reflective practitioners in the integration of theory and practice; who are actively dedicated to teaching and learning in a pluralistic democracy; and who, as leaders, are eager to contribute to the national conversation about the reform of U.S. schools and society.

The program is further grounded in a conceptual framework consisting of three integrated themes: knowledge, individuality and social responsibility. These themes provide a cohesive conceptual framework for the entire program and are reflected in all aspects of program coursework as well as in related clinical experiences.

为来自中国的学生设计 To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants who have earned their degrees outside of the US must hold degrees from institutions in compliance with their national standards. Academic IELTS: an overall band score of 6.0 with no individual score below 5.0; or TOEFL: 550 on paper-based or 80 on Internet-based test; or PTE Academic: 53.
