Why choose this course

To work in an international marketing context, you need to understand your audience and how to reach it. Our Intercultural Business Communication and Marketing MA course combines the research and teaching strengths of our School of Literature and Languages, with the expertise of Surrey Business School, offering an exciting fusion of skills and experience that will accelerate your career.

Over the years, our intercultural and professional communication courses have successfully trained graduates who have gone on to fruitful careers in a variety of international organisations, particularly in areas such as:

• Advertising
• International management
• Human resources
• Media and public relations.

What you will study

This course develops an understanding of effective marketing processes and how language can be used for effective business communication in an international context. The course will enable you to develop an international and intercultural point of view and prepare you for a thriving career in linguistically and culturally diverse marketing and business environments.

As part of your studies, you will complete a project evaluating the business, communication or marketing aspects of a company of your choice, which will enable you to apply your knowledge and skills in a new context.

为来自中国的学生设计 To apply for one of our postgraduate courses that require a UK 2:1, the grade requirement depends on the institution you have studied at in China. Our usual requirement is 75% or 80% overall. For courses that require a UK 2:2, you must achieve 70% or 75% overall, depending on the institution at which you have studied, IELTS Academic: 5.5 overall with 5.0 in each component
