专业概况

The Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) programme in NTU is an integrated science-driven and application oriented engineering education in advanced materials for cutting edge technologies.

Materials Science and Engineering is a discipline that is broadly based in engineering mathematics and all aspect of sciences (chemistry, physics and biology). Our students learn about the basic structure and properties of materials, and understand how materials can be processed and modified to make the products of modern technology more durable, faster, lighter and better suited to human needs.

Our students will also get to discover and learn about nanomaterials for cancer treatment, biodegradable materials for biomedical devices, advanced functional materials for defence systems and sporting equipment and apparels, new eco-materials for our environment, nano-electronic materials for future IC chips and many more.

• Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) with Second Major in Business
• Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) with Second Major in Pharmaceutical Engineering
• Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) with Second Major in Medical Biology
• Double Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics)

Career Prospects of Our Graduates

MSE graduates are employed in a wide spectrum of industries and roles. They are highly sought for and moved on to sectors such as technology, defence, aerospace, oil & gas, biomedical & pharmaceutical, manufacturing, electronics, offshore & marine, environmental-related, as well as academia. A good acumen in innovation could also lead to a technology-based entrepreneurial career.
