What Are My Career Opportunities?

The undergraduate childhood education program will fulfill degree requirements for an initial teacher certification in childhood education (grades 1–6) from the New York State Education Department.

Our mission, guided by the mission of the Education Unit, is to educate candidates with the specialized knowledge, skills and dispositions essential to meeting the educational needs of students in a dynamic world. A key part of that education is the cultivated understanding of the interrelationship between academic content, pedagogical application, continued learning and the moral and political considerations of working with students.
