The MS in Public Health Microbiology and Emerging Infectious Diseases trains a new generation of public health professionals to expand knowledge and expertise in areas of disease mechanisms, with an emphasis on microbial pathogens, the use and application of modern biotechnologies and in epidemiologic skills relevant to the prevention and control of problems in the community arising from infectious diseases.

Applicants who have earned their degrees outside of the US must hold degrees from institutions in compliance with their national standards. Academic IELTS: an overall band score of 6.0 with no individual score below 5.0; or TOEFL: 550 on paper-based or 80 on Internet-based test; or PTE Academic: 53.
