The University of Cincinnati’s Master of Science in Nursing in Women’s Health program is ideal for registered nurses seeking an advanced degree in women’s health. The program prepares nurses to become primary care providers for female patients, promoting wellness and disease prevention throughout a woman’s life.

Career

A WHNP (Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner) is a registered nurse who has completed an advanced nursing education including training in the diagnosis and management of common and some complex medical conditions in female patients. A WHNP treats women from adolescence through adulthood — assessing, diagnosing and performing clinical management of sexual and reproductive health concerns. WHNPs take pride in their services to the community and play an integral role in patient care and recovery. WHNPs have varying levels of autonomy.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have: An active and unrestricted RN license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree conferred from a regionally and ACEN (formerly NLNAC) or CCNE accredited institution; Completion of an undergraduate statistics course with a grade of “C” or better; A minimum of one year of RN experience (preferably in labor and delivery).
